Can anyone just join in likes?? I retired from footbal years ago when i started to hit festivals and gigs but im sure a little knock about wont do any harm at all!!

I mind last year when i was on the Pyramid field on the Thursday the sense of community was amazing!! There was peeps just kicking back, throwing frisbees and just generally having a f**king ace time so it will be amazing to see a full blown football game going on there. Then to say i saw that when its utter carnage on the same field Friday onwards will be ace!!!!

we were a spin off from polbeth, and the training started in the east calder parks, but i think it was for all the calders. east is the best though

What a most excellent thread I was way too embarrassed to ask much the same question seeing that the GWC2009 thread has been around since July last year and runs to something like 84 pages ... and I hadn't actually noticed it and/or bothered to look at it before other than the first/last page yesterday. Oooops and all that

Anyways, much as I positively hate footy I shall be there no doubt having a bl**dy good laugh at your expense cheering you on lot on together with much cider to avoid serious dehydration whilst watching a bunch of efesters standing around waiting for some ball to come close enough to them so they can actually kick it rushing around like whirling dervishes who should quite clearly be signed to Juventus, Inter Milan or similar and a suitable amount of do$h for the WaterAid buckets of course.

Who's running the book then ? There must be an official efests dodgy booky lurking somewhere in the darkest corners of the thread ! I think my money's going on the Rest of the World TBH seeing that unless there's a 1966 in the year, England are, well, mostly complete cr@p at just about anything and probably couldn't win a tiddleywinks compo let alone anything remotely close to such an important footy match. Plus I reckon that there seems to be way more cider drinkers in the RotW team and I'm totally convinced that's ALWAYS going to help

So it's jumpers eFests teeshirts for goalposts and all that and a totally unpatriotic extra £25 in crisp notes for Mr.WaterAid if RotW give Eng-er-Land a bl**dy good spanking !
