I have had Sing The Sorrow now since it was released whenever that was and enjoyed it over the years. Been on my ipod since I got the thing and has had quite a few listens but they are a band who arent really the type of music I am into and havent really looked past this album to anything else but seeing as they are playing Leeds I fancy popping over to see them to make a change.

Just after the advice of some fans as to where to go next with listening to thier work as I noticed quite a few albums...best albums? Main stuff they play live? etc etc

Any advice appreciated

My favourite AFI album is "Black Sails In the Sunset".....its a bit different to Sing The Sorrow though - its basically straight ahead punk/hardcore.

"Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes" is also great - my personal fave on that is a single second.

My advice is check out as much as you can working backwards from Sing The Sorrow as you will appreciate the change in their style more!

My favourite AFI albums are Black Sails In The Sunset, The Art Of Drowning and Sing The Sorrow. Having said that, I only own those three, but what I've heard of the other albums I'm not that in to! I assume they mainly play stuff from Sing The Sorrow onwards.

December underground should be worth a listen if you like sing the sorrow. it's not too hardcore if you don't like that sort of thing and it'll probably have a few entries in the set list.

The Art of Drowning is definately worth a listen, from when I've seen them they'll probably play Days of the Phoenix (tunnnneeee) off it

They have a self titled greatest hits of all the albums before Sing for Sorrow which is pretty much perfect for you!

I tihnk its just called AFI anyway
