Radiohead Vs Lostprophets

personally i am definitly going to be at the front for Radiohead, but whats your choice and why?

I love Lostprophets and have seen them lots of times from clubs to festivals to arenas, but Radiohead.

Why? Because they're Radiohead. :angry:

At the moment I'd say lostprophets as I haven't actually heard that much radiohead. I know, shock horror. But I'm liking what I'm hearing so I may change my mind

Lost Prophets, for the festival anyway. I haven't heard much Radiohead, but from what i have they hardly seem like a band you can jump around to and have a good time. Might aswell just pop some seats down, have a seated gig.

But this clash pisses me off. Lostprophets are in my top 5 favourite bands announced for the festival so far, but happen to be at the same time as my favourite band announced. I've seen lostprophets twice before - once at Reading and once at Brixton academy - and they were great live, but gotta see the band I love more and haven't seen before.

I don't, and will be watching Lost Prophets.

Not a perfect band to end a Reading weekend to, but sure as hell a lot better fun than Radiohead.

I was hoping for Offspring on the Sunday :angry:

I saw Radiohead at Victoria Park last year and it was a bit of a snoozefest. They are obviously a legendary band, but not very exciting to see live. They were good when I saw them in 2000, but that was just before Kid A and the slippery downhill slope (controversial hey!).

I've seen both, Lostprophets have a few good tunes but their new stuff is shit and IMO they are not headliner material.

Although Radiohead are one of my fave bands, I admit to being slightly disappointed when I saw them in 2006. The songs, performance and atmosphere were all there but I saw them at V and I don't think you get the best out of them in a festival environment; as amazing as they are, to me a festival is one big party and people tend to just sway along for 2 hours and stare at the stage. Still ace mind, but I saw Sigur Ros last year and, while still shoegazy, think their stuff is much more celebratory - can't see Thom Yorke unleashing confetti butterflies on the crowd in the middle of 'Karma Police'.

Ech. I might head for the dance tent that night.

You have to include AFI in this too as they will clash with Radiohead as well and are awesome live.

Radiohead, without any doubt, then again I'd rather roll around naked in a huge patch of nettles for an hour and a half than go and see Lostprophets, so wasn't the hardest choice to make.

I hate Radiohead with.a.passion and I love Lostprophets ergo Lostprophets here I come.

I know this wont be a very popular post but at the end of the day guys, it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it

I love Lostprophets, but it's got to be Radiohead.

However, I just know that all my friends will be at Lostprophets, so I may be forced to miss Radiohead ¬_¬
