the new album is truly remarkable. I haven't heard a young British band make such a leap forward with a 2nd record for a long long time.

It's out on release soon so everyone that hasn't had a chance to hear it yet through whichever means will be able to hear what all the hype is about.

Yeah, I've only had a listen twice which is rarely enough for me to make my mind up on an album but it does sound great. Going to see them at King Tut's next month which should be good. Saw them play the Queen's Head in 2007 and they were fantastic. Here's hoping they play this year.

Yeah, Sea Within a Sea is superb. Also, I don't think they've changed direction that much in that, if you hated them before, you probably still will. Geoff Barrow's produced this record though so granted, it is fairly different.

The first album was an absolute mess.

The second album is a lot better in terms of sounding like they can actually play their instruments, but it's SO derivative. There's nothing wrong with having influences, but you need to put a bit of yourself into it. You could have easily told me it was a lost Television album and I'd have believed you
