SJH
I'm a huge fan of the Monkeys and Prodigy so for me it's brill. I can't wait to see Prodigy again; saw them at T last year and they were awesome. If a band can get me dancing while having vicious stomache pains from herbal highs then they must be special Edited April 13, 2009 by SJH

shoptildrop
not a big fan of either band but..... are prodigy still pulling the same show as over a decade ago? ie.maxim running around, trying to look and sound "menacing" and keith like a headless chicken jumping up and down pulling faces a lot ? i'm also guessing that they get the bigger reactions from "hits" from 93-97 and not much afterwards? hopefully i'm wrong and you guys are saying they have err... developed their stage presence and live show right ? MEGABOWL
Are The Prodigy considered by the majority of music fans to be one of the greatest live bands on the planet? Yes Are The Arctics generally considered by anyone outside their immediate fanbase to be anything other than an OK at best poor at worst live band? No Do the Prodigy have a fanbase that spreads across the rave scene, the pop scene, the rock scene and even the metal scene? Yes. Can the Arctics say the same? f**k no. Prodigy couldn't headline Reading this year because they've overdone the festivals for this summer, but if they were an exclusive, they could pull it off with ease. Chill
Prodigy are bigger worldwide than artics will ever be, suppose that dosent matter because its a uk festival but saying prodigy could never headline is bollox
robsadler
they could easily headline if they wanted too. i'm sure its just down to bands ego's....if prodigy are happy to headline tents and smaller stages and play further down the lineup then festivals will put them there. im sure they just want to play for the fans and aren't too bothered about all that at this stage in their career. if they said we are only playing if we headlined im sure there is a good chance they would have done. robx
ArcticMonkeysUK
You don't need to worry about that, they are proven playing in front of big crowds and will blow Arctics away. I've seen them 3 times in the past 9 months, V Festival where they played to a bigger crowd on the 2nd stage than Muse the headliners, Out of the 3 they were at the there best playing in front of 30-40,000 at V. They were fantastic again last night.
Morello
Prodigy are a great live band but you don't headline by being a great live band, you headline if you're a big band. Arctic Monkeys are a bigger band than Prodigy anywhere in the world at the moment even if prodigy are better live so Arctic Monkeys should be headlining.
