Hey Guys,

I saw this topic on the T in the park board so I thought it would be a good idea to have one of our own.

For me this year, I will have finished my GCSE'S completely so will have a week to get alL exited about the line up etc, usually on the saturday beforehand we go to sainsburys and buy bits and bobs for the fest, like snacks for the jeorney (everybody loves haribo).

So what do all of you lot do then the week leading up to glasto?

Cheers,

washing!

I can 100% bet Ill be doing loads of last minuet washing of clothes,

for some reason that is what all ways happens when ever I go away anywhere.

usually start urgent washing at about 1 week before an event and ending 1 hr before leaving house to go along with damp items of clothes drying on the rear window self of car.

must be a nervous excitement ritual thing or something, making my wash pile suddenly giant and me start needing to do shed loads of laundry.

Work, Work, Work......

Then down on the Tuesday.......

This year though I am way ahead of the game. All the camping stuff is sorted, my new improved multi functional, super compact, universal table come B&Q trolley is nearly sorted.

So just beer, wine, Cider, beer Cider to buy the week before.......

I'll finish my A Levels about a week before. Then it'll be a trip to Glastonbury town to get us all excited, climb the Tor and everything, maybe solstice at Avebury... a week of packing and re-packing, watching youtube clips, highlighting all the bands I want to see on a big list, being unable to remove myself from this forum, almost dying of excitement...

The night before there will be 20-odd Glasto-goers crammed into my house for a sleepless night of anticipation!

The weekend before I'll be marshalling at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone B)

Then it'll be home on Monday, washing & swapping sensible camping gear for Glasto camping gear (more rucksack than car boot!), and the party starts on Wednesday :)

Well from about now I'll watch the Glastonbury film no less than 8 times (always gets me in the mood and once I have watched it once, I must watch it again). I also start looking for new things that I need around about now. In the couple of weeks before I will put the tent up in the garden to check it still does the job, I'll buy vodka, orange and cheap Lidl's Red Bull equivalent, which I will put into the plastic 500 ml bottles that I have been collecting. I will also celebrate my birthday the weekend before Glastonbury and then get even more excited about only having another two days in the office before leaving. Oh...I also have grand plans to spray paint my red sack trolley either purple or pink. Would have done it today but I have had a flu like thing all day and have only had the strength to do anything at all in the past ten mins.

Normally it would be working and just planning what to take!

But this year I'll be handing in uni coursework, moving from halls to rented house and then be spending 2 and a half weeks in Italy back packing, I was due to fly back on the Thursday and head straight down but decided to cut trip short a bit so I changed my flight home, so now im getting back on the Wednesday early early morning and leaving for Glasto on the Wednesday morning - hectic but mega mega exciting June planned for me!! I usually spend the 2/3 months leading up to Glastonbury feeling a mixture of giddy excitement and extreme nervousness. Excitement because, f**k sake, it's Glastonbury, and nervousness because every year I worry that I won't fit in and will miss all the good stuff

the anxiety has increased tenfold this year as I'm bringing my girlfriend for the first time and I hope she enjoys it as much as I'm insisting she will

but this year I'm really busy throughout late May and June with weddings and stag do's and such like,so hopefully this period will whizz by and Glasto will be on us in no time
