Couple of clarifications... William's Green is a new entertainment area (named in memory of William Eavis, Michael's grandfather), i.e. it's not just the Queen's Head. Outdoor cinema is no more. News story on GlastoEarth has been updated accordingly.

I remember when the Cinema was there too!: at my first fest in '93, watching Dracula on a freezing cold night. Great memories :O

Sort of stumbled across it but I knew it was up towards the acoustic tent.

At both locations it was a great place to go: It seems shame it's been axed for a smaller tent (which will no doubt be rammed) but due to activities before I don't usually make it to the cinema  so I'm sure the organisers know what they're doing.

I remember the cinema field from 1993 also. I don't remember much else from that year, due to a lot of shambling around.

I saw Blade Runner (and enjoyed it for the first time). Looked amazing on the big screen outside in the dark with the smoking and the blankets. Bliss.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a Radio 1 roadshow van parked around there somewhere too? Or was that one of the things that I hallucinated that year?
