This year Fearne Cotton and Rufus Hound are at the helm of the action with hour-long specials stripped across the weekend. Fearne and Rufus will be in the midst of the festival bringing ITV2 viewers all of the special performances from the weekend’s line-up, exclusive interviews with the bands and the most sort-after celebrity gossip from backstage.

ITV2 has commissioned CC Lab to produce this year’s coverage of The Isle of Wight festival.

Fearne Cotton said: “I’m so excited about covering the Isle of Wight festival for ITV2. To see Neil Young live this summer will be very special. Mixed in with some of my favourite bands like the White Lies and Pigeon Detectives it’s sure to be an incredible weekend! Also working with my good friend Rufus will be a right laugh, roll on June.”

Rufus Hound said: "I can’t wait to see The Pixies, Maximo Park, The Prodigy and Neil muthaf**kin' Young. Hell yes!"

John Giddings, Festival Promoter said: “It’s great that ITV2 want to come back to the festival again and give more coverage. It gives the people who couldn’t buy a ticket the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere both backstage and front stage, and I’m sure that Fearne and Rufus will enhance the quality of entertainment. Here’s to another great year!”

Justin Rees, Producer for CC Lab said: “We are really excited about producing more TV shows than ever this year. Our challenge for ITV2’s coverage of the Isle of Wight festival is to capture the world class music performances whilst also getting across the amazing vibe at the festival, so the viewer gets a true feel of the weekend. We have loads of exciting new ideas about how to give the viewer an AAA-class experience of the first festival of the summer.”
