Im on the hunt for the loudest possible stereo for Glastonbury!

I have used a JVC RV-NB10B (big bazooka sub woofer MP3/CD stereo) for around 10 festivals

now and just wondered if anything louder has come around since, as they have been

making these ones for over 10 years now!

Heres the link to it...............

Like to have a bit of a rave ya see!

As last year was my first year on the run up i always wondered if i should take a stereo but after being i very quickly realised it wasnt needed :P as people have said there`s always faaaaaaaar too much going to have time to listen to one, plus the coo`s wouldnt like to find your batterys after the festival :D

I am however gonna get a wee wind up radio/torch thing of ebay though as its always good just to have something jingling away when you are at camp and it doubles as a torch so result :D .

im not really bothered about other peoples music, up to you really.

but i just saw this on the glastonbury wesite and thought id paste i in here anyway:

•Please don’t bring your own sound system - the Festival has music pretty well covered. The campsites are patrolled for rogue systems, which will be confiscated.

Yeah they won't take away boom boxes I'm sure, like the above poster said, it's for people who put up their own little rigs/PA systems.

Dear Lord a portable karaoke system; can you imagine, all night in the tent next door, there would be endless "I will survive", Abba by the bucketload and no doubt Bohemian Rhaphsody belted out towards dawn...erk!

You'd be begging the camp stewards for a humane killer for your eardrums!

If you don't want to listen to other people's music, you should probably not be at a festival in the first place.

"No music! No talking! No laughing! No silliness! Sensible people trying to sleep!"

If you've got a decent stereo it won't be tinny.

Can't see the problem myself, as others have said, it's all part of the atmosphere!

I went to Roskilde last year and it seems that the Scandies find a stereo at festivals more important than clothing!

Virtually every campsite has a car stereo home built into a wooden box, running off a car battery, on wheels for portability...

I asked one group what happens when the battery runs out?

They replied, "We go to the car park and get another one!"

Those poor people on monday who cannot leave because someone nicked their car battery...

Pretty funny still...
