somecoolusername
I loved Silent Alarm. I loved weekend in the city, but after hearing Flux and Mercury on the radio I thought that it sounded quite bland and samey. Do they all sound like Flux and Mercury on the CD or is it a bit like their old albums? Cheers, BlackHole2006
Icewulf
Personally I don't dislike their new album. Sure it's gone in a new direction, but it still sounds immense. I personally love Ares, Talons, Trojan Horse, not because they sound like their old songs, but because they don't. It makes for a fantastically varied live performance. Flux is actually one of my favourite tracks live, especially with the green lasers If you want to hear songs that sound like Silent Alarm, listen to Silent Alarm, simple as... joelovesleeds!
Silent alarm was brilliant, and I think they put on a decent live show at their gigs, although they were awful at Leeds a couple of years ago. The latest album is crap though, so bit of both...
Icewulf
Flux is indeed epic live.

pineapple-tea
LOVE them. Although, some of their songs can get a bit annoying after a while. The prayer is just awesome though. I could listen to it all day.
Kyelo
I like Bloc Party, not my favourite band but decent. They don't suit out door venues. Seen them a few times and they are brilliant indoors. Put them in a tent and those that like them shouldn't be dissappointed.
chuckley
bizarre isnt it, ive seen a few people mention that gig - but id seen them 3 times before that and theyd always left me cold, and yet that performance last year i thought they rocked it
