joshwarrr
saw him at Glastonbury thought he was very good, bought both of his albums and i enjoy them immensely. But i saw him at Reading and he was exactly the same as he w\as at Glastonbury. He didn't do anything different. If you've not seem him before go cus he will be good, if you have i wouldn't bother. I think he might play, but not sure where or when?

WS_Jack_III
Well i personally don't get bored of him. I love the blues he does.
dj267
I wouldn't book him again. Very few people should ever be booked three years in a row, especially when they've made considerable impact in the preceeding years. If he becomes a glasto institution, he will become boring to everyone. probs.
joshwarrr
don't get me wrong i love his albums, really like his old blues and the way he does it, but his live shows are a bit of the same-old.
Wooderson
Seasick rocked the gaff last year with his hairy mate on drums. Looking forward to Keane this year then lads? The negative waves in this thread are piss poor.

Wooderson
What else you expecting from a 1 string dod of wood? that will be why its in the genre called blues? coz eh?? it all sounds like blues?? thats a bit like saying your not going to see the prodigy again cause it all sounds like techno. or fuk at jerry lee lewis ....just sounds like rock n roll to me... may as well not go and see bb king now then, cause he just sounds like ....ehhh...bb king. sungubala
Steve was amazing at Latitude last year. Despite all sorts of problems he had before his set he still put on a wondeful show. I'm looking forwards to seeing him again definately!

Wooderson
It all sound like Blues ???????....I don't think so....Its a gimmick...he's not in the same league as BB King. Try listening to some real blues of Son House or Mississippi Fred McDowel, now lots they do sound the same but are played with real feeling, not by someone who hammers three strings on a gimmck lump of wood wailing the same old ( I belive i paid my dues )stuff over and over again. SS is something to watch i know, but once would be enough for me.
Tugger2k
No one is comparing Steve with BB chief. Both have their place. Seasick made a girl beside me cry last year. She was only about 19 and cuddled up to her boyfriend like it was her first gig. The man is pure entertainment. Cut him some slack.
port
i know good blues when I hear it, but all i'm saying is you cant be going to see seasick steve, expecting too much from a 1 string guitar and segs on his boots to stomp the floor. he does what he does, its like going to watch some guy sitting on his front porch belting out the tunes. personally, If he sounds the same as the last time I saw him then i'll go away happy. If Springsteen sings Born to Run are people going to complain if it sounds exactly the same as the last time he played it??? I thought that was the whole point..
