dougied
He was appearing on Glastonbury Radio today http://www.glastonburyradio.net/new/news_cats.php I didn't hear it, and I have no idea whether the radio station has anything to do with the festival, but Glen Campbell released a great covers album late last year (he was fantastic on Jools Holland) - could he be lined up for one of the 'legend' slots? dougied
... and this from his official site forum: Posted on Friday, April 17, 2009 - 09:34 am: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Glen sounded great. When asked, he said he would enjoy performing with Crosby, Stills and Nash http://64.224.220.97/discus/messages/2/8526.html?1239975293 I've no idea if he's just talking generally or if this means he's going to be there, but I'd love to see him. Lordscopie
On my way home from work his cover of 'Sing' popped on the ole MP3 player - I didn't even realise I had it. Rhinestone-tastic!!
jollynolly
I would be made up. I've been waiting for him or Dolly to do the legends Sunday slot for years Galvestson ohh Glaveston
bertieb73
My Mum named me after him!! Had a bit of stick for being called The Rhinestone Cowboy through my childhood but I kind of like it now... Only just realised due to this post that his first name is spelt Glen while mine is Glenn. Wonder if my Mum is dyslexic (hope I've spelt that right) or whether my Dad filled in the forms and was bladdered at the time??? May seem a pointless post but I've had a mental breakthrough with this post. For years I've been telling everyone I was named after Glenn Hoddle (the good looking, highly skilled, diamond light singing midfield genius) instead of some dodgy old country & western geezer. May have to check him out to see what my Mum liked about him....
