normally crawl out of tent, drink whatever I can lay my hands on (preferably tea or juice) eat if theres anything in my tent, few fags then off for a shit and into the festival for another day of fun <_<

as for amount of sleep thats usually determined by:

how f**ked i was day/night before (this part determines what time i get to bed)

heat /smell in tent (when it becomes unbearable, i'm outta there)

There's so much walking involved that I absolutely need to crash for at least 5 hours every night, usually just as its getting light. If I see the sun coming up I come over all vampiric and just have to find my tent and sleep, although I try and forgo this for Saturday at the stone circle, aided by copious amounts of hallucangenic drugs obviously. Sunrise at the stone circle on mushrooms is one of the most ace things ever.

The other year I woke up about 9.00 am , and quite lively for me.

I was gonna wander off and get some breakfast , and a bit of a wash etc.

Mate said

"Do you want a fresh cold cider ? "

"Do you want a smoke of this fat one ? "

Half an hour later I was back in my tent , totally zonked and did not get up till after 3.00 that day !

<_<

What is that... around 4ish?

I'd def like to see that.

As a T in the Parker... there's sadly not too much going on after the bands finish other than campsite banter. So I'm usually sleeping 1am-8am or so... But I am an early bird, so 8am is prob a lie in for me.

However I think Glasto will be a lot more sleep deprived with bands on a lot later for a start, then heaps more to do after that.

But think I will need to get some sleep as I will def try to do too much and end up knackered by the Sat / Sun.

mine varies hugely - there's usually one night of catch up sleep half way through the festival

Last year from memory:

Wedneday night - 3/4 hours

Thursday night - 2/3 hours

Friday night - 9/10 hours

Saturday night - 0 hours

Sunday night 2/3 hours

Half time catch up is the way forward!

normally crash as it starts to get light about 5 - 6, then up again at about 9 -10. That does me fine at glasto, always feel like I've had a great nights sleep.

Though once in 94 I didn't sleep for 2 days, eventually crashed out and slept though the whole of Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning - missed the whole night. Was gutted when I woke up!

Well last year the Wednesday and Thursday i had pretty early nights (2 or 3) and woke up at 8 every morning, the Friday and Saturday went to bed around 8 till 10, then Sunday night i crashed out at around mid-night.

First thing i would do when get up was go for a piss, fry up, then get on it with our normal team Sambucca.

Has anybody used the tactic of putting those silver space blankets over the top of your tent to keep the heat out and make it possible to sleep after about 8am?

If so did it work?

It's not the noise that gets me out of my tent but the heat. If I can keep my tent cooler for longer in daylight I can go to bed later!

They work extremely well. I needed two to cover the sun-side and top of my small Vango Delta 300 (equivalent to a Sigma 300 these days). This is an outer-pitch first design, so I just used clothes pegs to clip the blanket onto the poles.

They do rustle a fair bit, and I'm not sure they'd stay on in a strong wind. I used it to sleep one afternoon in the sun, when I was extremely tired (half-way catch-up sleep).
