This could be very good, or very bad news.

If they're on the Main stage and not taking up the last NME headliner slot, plus the fact they're doing Reading, Rock en Seine, Leeds makes it more likely for Offspring to also do Reading, Seine, Leeds.

However, if they're not slotted into the Main stage high up then theres no other place for them apart from last NME headliner, which means no Offspring

Would def go see them, but would rather Offspring, so I'm praying for Main stage :)

yup true, definately seems a bit weird :/

also, on the offspring mentions. they are also doing rock en seine on the same day (the saturday), leaves them free for fri / sunday but can't see them getting slotted in as well so that looks like a no go.

Or maybe the Download organisers were exaggerating the truth to generate more sales? :D

Exclusives seems to mean nothing this year. Neil Young was a IOW 'exclusive'; until Glastonbury announced him.

Also, looks like FNM are going to play before KOL, so The Offspring can still be slotted in to headline the NME/Radio 1 Tent on the same day.

typical - first time in over a decade I don't buy ticket and this happens :D ticket and travel will be over 200 quid so I could see them "exclusive" at download. Now it seems could have gone to Reading as usual which is about 4 hours closer to home.

i'm so happy about this :D

but looking at the liineup, if they are placed under Kings, i think it's so so so wrong that Placebo will now be fourth that day..which is sad cos it makes their set even shorter, and also saddens me more that Vampire Weekend get this spot on a Sunday when Placebo are complete legends with so many albums under their belt..ah well, i guess it means Kaisers wouldnt be subheadlining now which is always a good thing.

if they played NME..its a big shit all over download for a start xD actually, them playing anywhere but headliner makes download look poor now.
