Does anyone do a job where you have to be smart and presentable

I work in a hospital, have to be dressed smartly everyday, not regimented but no shorts or wellies in sight.

my colleagues reaction to finding out i go to festivals is always do you really? wow, they look fun on the tv, i mean i couldn't do it, all that dirt and strangers but good for you, really good for you, so do you sleep in a tent?

i've managed to convert a few so far

i work as a chartered accountant and thus a suit is mandatory during the week

weekends though are different and the annual pilgrimage to glasto lets me totally chill out

Trainee Quantity Surveyor...first job since leaving six form, Shirt nd trousers with smart shoes everyday and still can't get used to it 9 months in!

have been unemployed for 6 months so my "work" attire has just been underpants.

Unfortunately I will be re-entering the world of employment in 3 weeks in local government finance. I think I may have to formalise my dress code somewhat to avoid raised eyebrows!
