the "official" return the a-z rumours listing

i totally agree - going through each day isn't nearly as quick and clear.

plus it's made me realise how few bands i want to see from those who have been allocated stages and days. (but that's just my taste - i don't want to start any more lineup arguments and i know there'll be plenty more to choose from when the lineup is released) :lol:

Nor would it be rocket science.

Adding a tab to show the a-z listings isn't exactly time consuming, considering that that very tab existed until recently. Nor is coding a couple of select statements. The only issue would be if there are any limitations introduced by using the IP.Board s/w and Neil having a few minutes spare of course.

* BUMP *

I didnt notice that until now, good spotting.

And ive often thought about the SR/R/TBC tabs and that they should be clickable to get the list of them.... well you know where im going, its all been said before.

Seriously though, could it be that it hasn't been done because of other festival websites have copyrighted the same sort of ideas? I mean the status filter btw :lol: Ive confused myself now so im off for a smoke....

Bringing back the a-z tab wouldn't be hard, they'd just need to rename them so they fit.

Putting on filters for the status would be harder though because the tab strip is currently done in javascript and you wouldn't want the page reloading each time. So, it's got nothing to do with "a couple of select statements", more like a javascript tablesorter.

Also, it's nothing to do with IPB, it's totally seperate from the forum.

As I said, it wouldn't be rocket science. There's no reason that the current static images couldn't be linked to a select statement to populate a page. Why wouldn't I want the page reloading each time? It wouldn't exactly be a heavy resource user. That's the quick and dirty way. The elegant way would take longer and would negate the need for the page to be reloaded.

I concur, I'm going to be lost without the A-Z list.

Hooray! A-Z back.

I just checked: new rumour, Fat Freddy's Drop.

Never heard of them but sounds like a big man having a difficult moment after a Goliath burger (or whatever they're called). Is that the idea?
