The glowstick appreciation thread

To save taking other threads way off topic I thought I'd start a thread here to post your love for glowsticks and what bargains you have found.

Got paid today so looking to buy my glowsticks over the weekend.

Saw this on ebay which I didn't think was too bad a price but if you have a hunt around you may be able to find deals on buying a certain amount, getting a certain amount free.

If anybody finds anything better can they post it in here?

I like glowsticks I really do.

But I feel it's an un-necessary waste of money, not to mention the extra weight to carry them onsite.

And also the extra refuse that needs collecting on site once everyones had their fun with them.

Plus no doubt a lot get left on the grass etc, and if any break that stuff inside them surely isn't good for the cows

If you do take them, make sure they are disposed of properly people

Festivals goers should think responsibly when they are packing their things to take to the Festival, and not bring items that will end up in Landfill, or that they won't want to take back home again, remember to "Limit what you bring, and clean up behind you."

Oh these are COOL.

I love glow-sticks, but I really really don't like their environmental impact. What IS in them? Cos it seems weird. Has anyone ever got it on them? Because I swear it BURNS and smells (and tastes) horrific. And since they're one-use it seems like a massive waste. How do you recycle them? I definitely agree with Paul that they should really be disposed of carefully.

I'll probably get slated for environmental damage... but spent glowsticks look really beautiful when tossed onto a bonfire. Dribbly glowy beauty!
