I like glowsticks I really do.

But I feel it's an un-necessary waste of money, not to mention the extra weight to carry them onsite.

And also the extra refuse that needs collecting on site once everyones had their fun with them.

Plus no doubt a lot get left on the grass etc, and if any break that stuff inside them surely isn't good for the cows :)

If you do take them, make sure they are disposed of properly people

wooooo great thread fras!

i love a bit of glow action :P

a couple of months ago in a bar in glasgow we came across a group of about 15 guys who literally must have had about 1000 glowsticks between them... we wondered if they were the actual glowstick appreciation society, however I never had the balls to go and ask them what they were up to... it was only about 2pm so i wasnt drunk enough to approach them yet :huh:

Wish i saw this thread before i posted my own glowstick themed one.

I frigin love glowsticks! (tho seriously people dont eat them)

I bought tons last year and flogged 'em on, hoping to do the same this year.

I shall be the one wearing an all in one white painting mac thingy (cant remember what they are called) and glow in the dark face paint.

Painted loads of peoples faces last year with it...had a glowing entourage following me around. :lol:

In 2007, I spent a disproportionate amount of time hooking glowsticks onto the back of people when they weren't looking. It amused me, and by jingo, it amused some onlookers too.

....as is the way with these stories, I do have to add the oft-uttered proviso;

Of course, I was somewhat off my face at the time.

:lol:

So has everyone got their glowsticks in then? Our party of 7 have 1,600 between us! :lol::)

Meant to be 200 each but the seller put in another 200. I didn't tell them that though.

As has been said on this thread though please dispose of your used glowsticks responsibly folks. Glowsticks are great fun for humans but not so much for the cows/local wildlife etc.
