Kyelo
That camping bed doesn't look to bad. The tent and backpack on paper don't seem to shabby either although I wouldn't buy either of them. Trust my brands lol would rather pay for the confidence of that lol Edited April 26, 2009 by BenchBuddah

glastoman417
B&M have a promotion on their camping gear too at the moment. Popup tents at £12.99 and mummy style sleeping bags £6.99. Personally I'd worry about buying a tent at that price knowing how stormy it can get, but if the sleeping bag is warm enough might be ok if you are on a tight budget. Chimps in Balaclavas
Some of those tents are single skinners & come without a groundsheet, like the lads said above ... it's worth paying out just a few quid more to assure yourself a decent one. I'd buy anything to do with camping from those stores .. just not a tent.
Sweep
My tent is a two-man, from Millets, £30. High "hydrostatic head", so I can trust it in rainy conditions, and it didn't let me down at any events last year. The point I'm making is that you can easily get a cheap option, just make sure it's from a quality brand, and especially with Glastonbury, look at the hydrostatic head value. If no such value is provided, take that as a hint to the quality of the tent

Sweep
2000mm is the lowest I'd go. Mine is 3000mm+I've used Fabsil to top it up
Sweep
couldn't think of anything worse than water coming through my tent at festival. Edited April 26, 2009 by Sweep
Kyelo
2000mm of what? Or do you mean hh? If you mean hh, then 2000 is indeed a good boundary to set
Kyelo
How about something other than water coming through your tent? My friend was peed on at Reading festival, whilst she was sleeping, by someone peeing on her tent. It dripped all over her.
mandypants
Argos and Tesco do some pretty decent tents, or check out Go Outdoors if you have one locally, I got a really good tent for £30, reduced from £60, loads of space inside, decent brand etc. It's not difficult to get a good quality tent cheap, but you do have to check carefully. Double skin is the way to go too, cuts down on condensation and gives a bit more protection from the elements.
parTy animal
I bought the rucksack from aldi's few years ago. It's lasted me 2 TITP's, a Leeds and countless camping trips with mates. Only problem ive had is that one of the plastic clip things burst- but it was more my fault for overloading it going to Leeds last year. I'll look at repairing the clip before i walk the west highland way and head to Glasto but might consider spending the £20 for that rucksack if my local Aldi still has it in stock this week. parTy animal
I went and bought the rucksack from my local Aldi (Batley) yesterday and they still had loads left so I'm guessing that most other stores would probably have some left too. I'm not an experienced camper but it seems pretty decent rucksac, good stiching and seems and plenty of room. I'll probably be only using it for GLastonburys so for £20 its a good deal. reni
I bought same aforementioned tent about 18 months ago as a festial backup. went camping and thougth i'd put it up to see how it was. truly awful tent. The poles were very flimsy and i struggles to get the thing to stay in the right shape. Saying that though we did leave it up once up and we had a day or so of torrential rain and not a drop got inside. I would think that for simlar amounts of money or maybe a tenner or so more you can get a decent pop up tent tha twould be much betterer all round e21- Sorry guys it was from Lidl that I bought the wobbly tent but it looked just like this on the picture supplied with it so may well be the same one. However i was only 14.99 so this one may be superior
