flibbitybob
I realised this morning how much time I actually spend thinking about Glastonbury and doing Glastonbury-related things. Today, I have spent a long time on this forum, checked the line-up rumours, read Emily Eavis's article (all to the sound track of the efestivals glastonbury spotify playlist) and had a text conversation with a friend about whether they are going. And it's not even 12. And this is very much an everage day. I think about it ALL the time, even in my dreams. With 8 weeks to go, I am asking, am I insane? Does everyone on here obsess about it like I do? I have A-levels in between now and then. I don't know how I am going to focus on work. I mean it's almost time to buy provisions... and then we'll get the official line-up announcement... and then we'll have to pack!!! It's so good it's just impractical for life! Laura_Babs
Well on my week days I check the forums when I get up, get to work and end up emailing my friends about the latest thing I want to buy for Glastonbury/new rumours, etc... Lunch time I Google to see if there is any new Glastonbury news. I get home, check the forums, check the line up rumors list, go on ASOS/any other clothing websites so see what new clothes I want to buy for Glastonbury, then I look on camping websites, then I check the forums again! Weekends I do all of the above accept emailing my friends and I do it about every two hours!!! Oh...and I just bought a new maxi dress that I want to bring to Glastonbury. It will be totally impractical if it rains but if it is sunny it'll be lush! Oh and I got new sunglasses (I'm now broke again too!!! )
disasterplan
All day every day. To make matters worse, there's a new girl at work who's excited about going for the first time this year, so I've taken it as my job to tell her absolutely everything about what to expect. Wanderlei
I was obsessed when the headliners were announced. I'm over that now but i'll be obsessed again when the full lineup is released. But for me Glasto is the light at the end of the tunnel. Until then, though, i have several obstacles in my way that i can't afford to look past. Once i'm there i'll be able to kick back (i say that but i'll still be doing 24 hours worth of work lol).
Chimps in Balaclavas
Every waking hour m8 & when others are looking forward to christmas, I'm counting the weeks till the next Glasto.
flibbitybob
I have AS levels and I don't know how I'm going to focus either, and the lineup announcement comes in the middle of them, so instead of anticipating exams, I'll just be anticipating that. mynameisearl
I'm obsessing too much which ain't good as it's distracting me from lots and lots of coursework. I wish my coursework was thinking about Glastonbury, it would be a doddle in that case!
NowhereMan
Yeah I had AS exams last year, before my first Glastonbury, so had the exact same thing. I'm even more excited this year though, so hope I won't be TOO distracted with all the excitement. Will this be your first Glastonbury or did you have it last year with GCSEs as well? I'm glad that it looks like there are a few other people as obsessed with it as I am! Edited April 26, 2009 by NowhereMan

mynameisearl
You have coursework? For some reason I imagined you being a proper grown up! Actually I think I just imagined you as Earl because of your name. I have coursework too, it is NOT fun.

mynameisearl
Same problem here. Three weeks until my first exam now, and I really need to start revising. I was OK over the winter and able to focus, but now the summer is nearly here, and Glastonbury so close, I can't stop looking for festival clothes, camping gears, glowsticks, all sorts of rubbish! grumpyhack
Glasto is my 'me week' when I can forget everyday life and just chill for a week. I'm not fussed about headliners, it's just being there again. It's virtually the centre point of my year. It gets pencilled into my diary and on my calender before anything else and then everything else has to fit round it. Last year I had a month in Australia, stopping off in Hong Kong, visiting Sydney and even going scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. It was an amazing holiday. But give me a choice of a week at Glasto or a month anywhere else in the world and Glasto wins hands down. So I get excited but also anxious and can never really allow myself to believe it's happening till I've got the ticket in my hand.

K8P
I am quite obsessed, I do sometimes wonder if it is really taking over my life in quite a serious manner. I keep looking at my garden and seeing if i can recreate it in some way. My bloke does think I am rather mad.
BIG question @ Glasto
Over the last 3 days I have been shopping twice for Glasto essentials, tent up tents to check, clean and store them, discuss plans for what to take and how to transport it all this year, attempt to convert a Glasto Virgin into breaking their Glasto Virginity in 2010, and brought the topic up in conversation countless times over this 72 hours! So yeah you could say i am less obsessed and more like addicted! Is there a G.A (Glasto Anonymous) Meeting anywhere in the UK before June? I need to stand up in a circle of people and announce, I am Mr Big Question and I am a Glastoholic!

Pinhead
My life rather revolves around it too. Is this sad? I can think of many worse things for it to revolve around . . .
