Sure my 2man popup Eurohike one last year was only £40 or so... and that was before the credit crunch started taking root!

A mate of mine had that one last year and it seemed to hold up very well.

I don't think pop up tents are for me. I can never figure out how to get them away again!

I bought a fairly cheap single layer tent for about £30 and it was awful, the only good thing was that it was very light making it easy to carry. This year I shall be using my 20 odd year old quality canvas tent, even though its heavy and takes longer to put up I know that I will be dry and not worry about it blowing away

Quencha have a good rep, and with the porch, it overcomes one of the two flaws in the original design (the other being the pack size).

I have the Eurohike pop up tent which is very similar and held up at about half a dozen festivals last few years.

I'm off to Decathlon in the next couple of days to change this Quechua Base Seconds Full

for one of these Quechua Base Seconds 4.2

Get the Quechua Base seconds 4.2! i picked one up from Decathlon Sheffield at the weekend, awsome tent!

Its a great store too!

Also the smaller pop up tents have an option of a funky design for another £5 which they dont show you on the website.

You cant go wrong with quechua, and are in a totally different leauge to the Gelert pop ups.

I also saw that Vango one above in a camping store and looked pretty good.

That Vango looks nice, I'm getting tent envy now. My trusty Vango Sigma is still in fine shape (I hope) but I do fancy a popup. Must resist....

Although I think I got the three man version, which was quality, did glasto, v & leeds and it was fine, no wear and tear, should do me fine this year aswell

I've just bought a new one too. After two years of tent collapses it was time for a change.

Went for a Vango Spectre. Pretty small, but it only weights 2.5kg and it's only me in there.

They didnt have the Base seconds XL in stock at the Sheffield one, and not sure if it would fit on to the Base 4.2? im thinking height wise its a bit taller? maybe not though!

I was pretty impressed at how big the base standard was at £79.00, but when i saw the 4.2 all set up i just had to have it!

We got between us:

BASE 4.2

BASE FULL

3" (4 MAN) AIR

2" (3 MAN)

2" (3 MAN)

2" (3 MAN)

2" (3 MAN XL)

Glastonbury is going to be a sea of Quechua me thinks!
