the thing that is annoying me the most is the people who are telling me to quit moaning are mainly people who have never been 2 a festival/gig before. yes if this was my first v i would be happy with the lineup. but i am just so sick of them booking the same acts each year

Good point.... but topic is spot on - there aren't really many differing opinions. It is basically people moaning!!

This will be my 12th V Festival - and as far as I know it has always been a pop festival, but for some reason people don't want to believe that so they moan saying things like "I'm going to Download next year." If you like the music Download offers, why would you even consider going to V in the first place???

Oooopppsss..... just starting moaning there didn't I???? :lol:

Been going to V since it started, only missed a couple (before anyone canes me for not having many posts).

I just think, as long as you can watch more than about 5 bands over the weekend, how can you say it is a waste of money, when you would pay at least £30 quid to see most bands these days?!

Surely even the moaners on here can find five bands in the line up they quite fancy watching?

Please...you really can't understand why people are unhappy? Look at line-ups of years gone by compared to this years, look at the arena headliners ffs! As other people have rightly stated, for a lot of us the V fest is a regular highlight of our summer & having spent (what adds up to) thousands of pounds over the years we have an inherent right to be pissed off about the increase of disposable pop, the removal of one of the stages, the recycling of acts that have recently played etc.

If people on here are happy with the line-up then that's great, more power to you. Acts like Will Young, Lemar etc are popular & I'm sure their fans will have a great time seeing them.

You right people do save all year, spend lots of money and do expect a good time. But with the reliability of efestivals (and other sites) you know what the line-up is going to be before you buy a ticket. If you don't like whose playing go to another festival, if you don't like the line-up of any then don't buy any tickets and spend the money elsewhere.

If you go to festivals for the atmosphere and are not too fussed about which bands you see then why complain.

I've never been to V and am not going this year. Reading and Glastonbury both have excellent bands and excellent atmosphere in my opinion.

If thats your main complaint does that mean your happy about the line up, cus if its both then why do you go? (thats not a snide comment by the way its a genuine question cus I wouldn't go to festivals unless I enjoyed them)

Ive been to the last 2 V fests and agree its the worse one out of the 3 easily. But i still think the line-up is good. Then again im happy to go and see mcfly, sugababes, mika then prodigy, muse, foo fighters.

Saying that i dont think many of the big festivals have got amazing line-ups really. Dload is probably the best and im going there, would have prefered blink 182 and ac/dc headlinin and it would of been perfect, def leopard and FNM are good, so are the sub headliners.

Think im going to do glasto next year, i can see it getting someone special for some reason

Completely agree with you, myself & others here are unhappy because we DO care what bands we see. You can gauge from this site & rumours who the headliners were going to be, I just didn't expect the rest of the line-up to be soooo 'poppy' or so many bands recycled from recent years.
