I have been a loyal V goer for the past 3 years but this year I am really not happy with the lineup, there is only a handful of acts that I want to see all of which I have seen before anyway. SO... Leeds weekend tickets have gone back on sale today, do you reckon I should get rid of my V tickets and buy Leeds instead or just put the lineup 2 the back of my mind and go to V anyway? Even though I am fed up with the P*ss poor lineup and organisation i still feel a degree of loyalty to return (for some strange reason!) so i cant make my mind up!!! Argghh what to do? Help!

Its a very tough call to have to make because you know sods law will happen. You sell your tickets and book for leeds then V announce some acts that you have never seen before and would love to see and end up being disapponited for selling up. If i was you id stick with V this time round saves all the trouble of trying to sell your tickets and most important walking around lost on the weekend when V is on knowing you should be there.

As someone who has been a consistent attender of both Reading and V over the past 12 years, I'd always choose Reading (/Leeds) over V, its better on almost every front

I always used to do both though, so like Shoptil... recommends, if you enjoyed V last year and you can afford it, do both!

The atmosphere is miles better, that's hard to quantify though, so here is the big seller

Longest beer queue -

V08- 45 minutes

Reading- can't really remember queueing at any point

Hmm... i cant really afford both atm so im thinking of just getting a Saturday day ticket. Cant believe they have managed to bag Brand new, they never play in the UK and ive wanted to see them since i was about 13 :D and then if i enjoy it i will definatley be buying a leeds early bird instead of V come August!!

I'm thinking of doing exactly the same thing. V (Staffs) is really close for me so the lack of travelling time has always been a winner. I got an early bird tickets for Leeds to go with mates & always go to V with the missus. As we were initially gutted with the Leeds line-up the lads & I are now going to Download so I might do Leeds with the wife & sell my V tickets.

Also, I didn't have to que for a beer or the toilet once at Leeds last year!

V doesn't show any loyalty to it's customers so why should we show any loyalty to V?

I would be worried about the lack of sponsors this year - I reckon they will cram everyone in and skimp on costs, which if the weather turns out to be anything like last year will be a disaster. Either way expect long Q's for everything and a total lack of care and organisation.

Sell up and go to Leeds.

My first V.. and it turns out to be the worst ever .(by your accounts) I must be honest, the leeds line up is awesome. Very awesome

Ive done leeds a few times and every time has been great, but this year i got over excited and booked V.

However I dont regret it and i wont be selling my V ticket. Im a firm believer in that you can make bad situations in to great situations.

Its just how you approach it, Know what i mean?? . Despite the line up, i will be going... and just like all festivals before, it will be a fantastic time.. we, the people decide how good V will be.

NOT the line up.
