Be An Oxfam Steward

Guest Kyelo

Recommended Posts

We provide stewards for some of the biggest music festivals in the UK including Glastonbury, Leeds, Reading, Bestival and Camp Bestival.

This year we've been asked by the organisers of Rockness to provide 300 stewards to staff a number of key locations on site, and we need your help to do it! If you fancy seeing a totally different side to Rockness and raising money for Oxfam at the same time. Why not give it a try?

In brief, a steward acts as the eyes and ears of the festival. As a steward, you must be aware of what is happening around the festival site. People will approach stewards for guidence and information about the festival, so your primary role is to keep people safe and informed.

Stewarding roles may include staffing gates, checking tickets and passes, patrolling campsites and keeping an eye out for overcrowding and safety in the arena. So why not apply now?

downsides

you do have to pay a deposit of like £170 that you don't get back until the end of the summer.

you generally have to do like 3 8 hour shifts as well.

and you could be in the campsite or checking tickets when the good bands are on..

and the application process is also very long and drawn out.

but otherwise i'm sure lots of fun would be had
