Massive Dilemma

Dunno why I'm even posting here. Huge dilemma basically, and I'm looking for advice.

My mate who I was going to my fourth Glasto with has had to cancel last minute due to work.

Now, I have the choice to cancel myself, or just f**king go on my own. There are people going that I *kinda* half know - but the last thing I wanna do is be hanging on!

I'm frantically trying to find some people who I know well enough to go with, but it may not materialise. Part of me thinks that it would be totally boring to go on my own... but also part of me thinks it would be really cool to just be a free agent, wondering around

This decision has become far more difficult knowing that Pendulum / London Elektricity / Stanton Warriors are there. Wish I hadn't seen that. Bugger!

What would you do?????????!!!!!!!!

Snap out of it man, of course you're going, regardless of whether your mates go along. You'll have an amazing time, and you may find that other mates will come out of the woodwork that you didn't even know where going... Whatever you do, don't cancel... be sensible now!

yeah, got to agree. this happened to me with reading fest a couple of years ago. my mate cancelled the day before for a good reason. i met up with some friends of a friend on the wednesday and we've never looked back. they are some of my best friends now.

its a festival, GO!

I was on my own for a couple of days a few years back cos no one I knew could come til Friday night. Had a ball though and the girls camping next door to me kept me company along with my guitar. Being able to do and watch whatever I wanted until my mates came was one of the best things ever and by 6pm on the Friday I kinda wished they weren't coming at all!!

Same happened to me last year, went on me own and had an awesome time. Camp at the eFests camp and you've got heaps of friends by the time your tent is up. Oh and i'll deffo go and watch London Elektricity with you. Going alone is f**kin awesome.

Some people enjoy their own company: if you're like that, GO!

Some people make new friends easily: if you're like that, GO!

Some people are only really comfortable in the company of familiar, old friends. If you're like that, perhaps you should get a refund.

I went on my own a few years back, and it was one of the best festivals I've ever been to. You see so much more on your own. Do it & lose yourself!
