Massive Dilemma

I've never been to an entire festival on my own. But my best night spent at a festival was. Well technically it was with a random bloke in a suit, but the point is that it wasn't with friends. At the time I was a really shy person too, you just act differently at festivals and talking to random people for no reason is the done thing.

Our parents and grandparents didn't fight in two World Wars to secure the liberty for us all, just for you to fanny around wondering if you had the courage to go Glastonbury on your own.

Get your tent sorted, get your travel arranged, and above all get a feckin grip......

Massive Dilemma

Dunno why I'm even posting here. Huge dilemma basically, and I'm looking for advice.

My mate who I was going to my fourth Glasto with has had to cancel last minute due to work.

Now, I have the choice to cancel myself, or just f**king go on my own. There are people going that I *kinda* half know - but the last thing I wanna do is be hanging on!

I'm frantically trying to find some people who I know well enough to go with, but it may not materialise. Part of me thinks that it would be totally boring to go on my own... but also part of me thinks it would be really cool to just be a free agent, wondering around ;)

This decision has become far more difficult knowing that Pendulum / London Elektricity / Stanton Warriors are there. Wish I hadn't seen that. Bugger!

What would you do?????????!!!!!!!!

efestivals: you have given me confidence . I will go. I WILL GO! Bollocks. I Love you all.

In return, I will shamelessly punt my own DnB mixes:

By way of gratitude - not recognition.

Appreciate your posts, you've made my Glastonbury possible.

Happy Ending ;)

Do not go !

You can spend a long weekend going round Asda or B & Q !

You could not possibly enjoy being sat round a fire at Stone Circle with a load of random people

at 3.00 am trying to sing Public Enemy on an accoustic guitar !!

Go ![/color]

And check out the threads ,

Fancy the real ale trail thursday lunchtime ?

E Festivals meet at Cider Bus

I've hardly ever been to a festival with people, and every time i have it's been a right hassle, co-ordinating plans, checking everyone's ok, blah blah. Part of the fun is going and meeting new people, having random chats, doing what you want when you want. Sure people enjoy it, but never understood going in a big group, setting up a massive camp together with cooking gear and so on.

Small tent, sleeping bag, cash, baccy and a good pair of boots and you're all set to meet new people and discover new things.

So, to stay on topic, go!
