Official Cider - Gaymers?

Having just read this about Gaymers now being the official cider to be sold at Glastonbury this year, does anyone know if this will have any impact on Brothers & the beautiful bus?

It won't affect the Brothers Bar or the Cider Bus. It just means that if you go to one of the WBC bars for a pint of cider you'll get Gaymers - same as last year.

You need to drink more cider then. Gaymers is alright, but it's nowt special either.

Get the Corrie tap to have its own stall and sell its famous exhibition cider, then you will forget all this other cider bollocks (Apart from the beautiful Cider bus and Brothers of course )

its a bit bland for my tastes

although i appreciate that its a huge site and so need a major supplier for the WBC tents, im always a bit dissapointed that in the heart of cider country the cider always seems to be a bit meh (barring brothers and the bus, obviously)

The average man that will be at Glasto that drinks cider will want a mainstream drink they are used to(Blackthorn, Bulmers, Magners, Strongbow etc).

Can't say I'm that fussed on gaymers or brothers, it's all about Henry Weston's vintage 8.2% stuff! 4 bottles of that stuff and you're well away! Tastes lush too

Westons is pretty good i agree - also deffo try Aspall suffolk - great stuff

Drinking isn't only about getting legless as quickly as possible. It can be about a decent flavour or sometimes just wanting something to wash away the dust on a scorching day. So I'm quite happy to have a mix from light to heavyweight.

However I do agree that Glasto should in part be about supporting smaller local businesses and not simply keeping the corporates happy.

Gaymers is alright.

Tidy little pint for when you're too far away from the Brothers bar.

Gaymers isn't bad as commercial ciders go.
