Man being interviewed on Channel 4 News going to Glastonbury

Its on about swine flu and John Snow asked about big events or something being stopped and the man said "I hope not as I am a big Bruce Springsteen fan and he's at Glastonbury this year."

If I had been listening properly I'd know who he was.

Ah... so there is a man being interviewed on C4 news, who happens to be going to Glastonbury.

I thought for a moment a man was being interviewed on C4 news BECAUSE he was going to Glastonbury.

I know ITV scrape the barrell for news these days, but that would have been a new low for a 'slow news day' artical, given it's the last week in April.

He did say that the only way Glastonbury (or any other mass gatherings of people) would be effeted would be if there were millions of people infected. So should be fine!

be careful about mentioning current events around here such as the Flu as you will probably get a rude Ed209 swearing at you.

I'm thinking they will try and keep as many events going as possible, for a couple of reasons.

One - the insurance payout for cancellation of lots of big events would be huge. Loads of compnaies are already teetering/gone bust, I don't think this would help.

Two - if people are broke, jobless, banks gone tits up, with no faith in the Gov or economic leaders, then to top it all off we can't have a party or two - well, anarchy in the streets I reckon.

So I'm hoping it will be fine.
