Huh. What a strange comment.

In all probability, it's not about this year.

On the other hand, best case scenario: they are the fourth headliner, but not playing on Saturday. Eavis wanted this slot to stay a secret, a surprise, and also Reading & Leeds might have shouting down the phone telling them not to ruin the announcement, so they sent out sources to quash the rumours, spread the word it was off.

...haha, I wish

I got a Reading day ticket just for them too! But, above all else, I just want to see them play the Pyramid Stage.

Well it seems way too early to be booking next year's acts.

But I guess it must be about next year. Maybe they are doing everything really early because its the 40th anniversary?

ME did say he 'booked' someone at the NME awards recently.

Under Neil Young would be amazing, not that it's likely to happen but I can wish. Probably more likely talking about next year... was it a thread on here that someone speculated on Radiohead, Muse and U2 for next years headliners?

Obviously I don't mind seeing Radiohead twice this year but I could have done with not spending my pension on Leeds day tickets for me and my nurse. To be honest though I can't see it happening seeing as they were recently voted best Glasto headliner ever or something. My money is on Saturday night headline slot for next year. Either that or they're playing a secret imaginary set in the tardis like spare annex of my tent for me and the nurse in the wee small hours after which the nurse will probably check the dosage on my meds.

I feel like the storyline of Radiohead and Glasto '09 has been designed just to mess with my emotions: every time I've accepted the fact that they are definitely not playing, something new comes up to suggest they might be.

I'm trying to stick to the realistic part of me that is very skeptical of this news, but there is that little ray of hope in my heart, haha.
