Which Car Park

last year was my first Glasto, it was all a bit rushed as i could only get there on Friday lunchtime, parking was a nightmare, have no idea which car park it was or really were i camped, all i know is it was very noisey. I am going to be better prepared this time and living close by I can get there by about 9.30 am on the Wednesday to pitch our tents, but have to go back to work after, getting back to the festival on Thursday night. Just some help with car parks required please. I want to camp a quiet section of the festival, and will be coming towards the festival from Glastonbury town, what is the best car park to go for to be nearer the camping i want, plus i also will be leaving say about midnight hours on Sunday.

You won't get a choice, if you're heading from Glastonbury town then you will be in the West Car Parks. The stewards will just direct you into whatever one they are filling at that time.

No choice at all when you get there - they have a systematic parking system to ensure car parks are used efficiently. Just go with the flow - you will be okay.

So, you don't know where you were parked, or indeed camped, but you know you don't want to be there again this year. 'Tis a good start, your festival experience can only only improve from here on in.

We camp up 'stage left' of the Pyramid, and previously have parked down in the south, which is an epic trek away, pretty much across the whole site. What would be the best way of approaching in order to get directed into a closer car park?

We usually come in along the A road from the M5 (can't remember it's exact name, but it's past Millfield school etc)
