Anyone heard The Maccabees new album? It's very good and they have progressed well since their first album, I think it's on Spotify if you wanna check it out.

They're also a much better live band than Maximo Park who at the moment look to be playing on the Main Stage at the same time.

Seeing the maccabees in Camden tonight. I shall come back with my report. Not expecting better things than Maximo but it should be good.

I like the new album, still prefer the first one though. They're definately one of my 'must sees' at Leeds this year, I'd have them over maximo park any day

Saw them on saturday at Live at Leeds, they are such a good live band 3rd time ive seen them, prefer colour it in by a long way so far though. some really good tracks on new album reguardless and perhaps more refined style and more radio friendly.

Seeing Maximo at Benicassim so will be seeing Maccabees. I saw them a while back before they released 'Wall Of Arms', really good live. Recommend them.

Picked up their album on Monday and I really hope they do well with it. I downloaded their first one so thought Id support this time and really great stuff!

I was looking for them on the reading line up and I couldnt see them for ages so was gutted but then my mate said open your eyes haha

Heard both maximo and maccabees album.

Maccabees album is pretty gd. I think its less radio friendly than their first one as it is slightly darker. Can't see any hits from it when compared to latchmere, about your dress etc. Overall pretty gd album

Maximo only listened once but thought it was pretty bland. Again slight depature from previous work all about space and stuff. Not so good but may be a grower

I suppose comparing them 2 days its about right, i just feel that the KOL day has much bigger bands. I just want everyone to be moved down 1 place on the other days

got maccabees new album yesterday, it's good but pretty different to 'colour it in', which i loved.

definitely seeing them over maximo. they're pretty different bands so you can't really compare.

i have not really given the maccabees much of a listen.

if its them vs maximo park though i will probably give them a try. i have seen maximo park before and although they are lively, i just don't think they have very good songs. if you like their songs you will enjoy their live performance though.

if that makes sense?!

My friends band have been supporting them on there recent tour. Good band live, not a massive fan tho.
