The 2nd sentence is the official rule. Taxis at Gate A/Bronze have to have official permits to be there and should only be pre-booked ones from local companies. All others should be from B&W.
This is what I got from the festival last year when I emailed to ask them so will be the official answer:
""The taxi rank is at Bronze Gate. Please note, however, only taxi companies with the relevant passes will be able to access the taxi rank at Bronze Gate. The taxi company should be able to advise whether or not they will have the correct passes.
Alternatively, you could make use of the Drop and Collect point at Bath & West Showground and meet your taxi there. ""
Exactly, Oxfam, Hotbox, MyCause/Ethical, Festivall (Now Occasionall Group) etc all have similar job roles at some events.
I manage campsites and have various other roles at a lot of festivals, and indeed as long as they are briefed to carry out their roles as and when, a lot of it is just customer service and a face for people to approach if needed.
They did only book the Killers last year because a big artist pulled out and they were available. There again that appears to be the case this year with Foos probably being the ones who pulled out, hopefully someone better than Mumfords is available. I personally wouldn't oppose them asking the Killers again🤣
