When i was reading through this thread on my phone today i almost soiled myself with excitement :rolleyes: . There not much on the Wednesday but i just cant f**king wait to get out of this REAL world life and into Glasto life ;);)

No disrespect but I just can't fathom why anyone be they man, child or beast would want to watch a film on the first day arriving at Glastonbury, surely there is something more unique to Glasto you could be doing? Each to their own and IMO of course, but it just confounds me.

The cinema tent came in really handy last year on Thursday night when it was raining.

I also caught the Levellers at the Leftfield (RIP) I think that was Thursday as well.

There's a bit going on on Wednesday, more on Thursday.

As everyone else has pointed out, it's a huge site so take a day or so to wander round and get your bearings.

Last year we just wandered around in awe and tried to see as much of the site as possible, get our bearings... we'd all never been so it was just unbelievable and we found a lot of really small interesting places that we wouldn't have found during the hectic atmosphere over the weekend.

We tried to go to the park, but were a bit too early. Then we all headed up to the stone circle as soon as it got dark, as recommended by everyone we had met, and it absolutely bowled me over. On the Thursday more friends of mine arrived and I felt like I could show them around them a bit. We took them up to the stones and I just remember saying "Don't look back, whatever you do! DON'T LOOK BACK!".

My plan for this year's Wednesday is set up, settle in to camp and chat about the bands we want to see, our plans and everything... then hopefully we'll head over to get some Brother's, just go for a stroll and then take the new recruits of our group up to the stone circle, and see what we come across as the night progresses!!

Gosh I am actually SO excited now. Just to think, in 6 weeks and 2 days it will finally be that Wednesday!

Definitely explore the site. It's much easier to get around on Wednesday, fewer people and fewer of the million distractions when it's in full swing.

There's a good days worth doing purely that. Just know where a few highlights are and you can you use them as waypoints on the wander.

One way to cover it is...

Loop the middle, Pyramid, Other, Dance, JP and back.

Then... Down past Jazz/World, Green Fields, Trash City etc, then back through Circus and Cinema, to the Bus :rolleyes:
