Haha ok u got me, dont really care what u think. Dont even care if u think the lineup this year is w*nk cause selfishly i like those bands and im gonna have a good time.

So what i Oasis are my fav band and there last good album was ten years ago. I`m going to have a great time being pished singing along to all there anthems.

Yeah i agree, love a good moan as much as the next guy. But as long as its not personal. I think there are some really valid points on here and maybe v might listen for next year.

i`m just lucky cause i like a few more bands on there than most it would seem. Can see why pple are annoyed if they dont like those bands.

Biffy are pretty much the only stand out act on the bill (as in a bit edgy/ different for the V crowd), I suspect they will get pretty much zero reaction from the vast majority of the crowd, who will chat and queue away until James play one of their bigger hits

I don't think the line up is changing, I don't think anyone is selling out, i think that music isn't changing, we are stood still at the moment.

Record companies are struggling, not putting money into new bands, just chucking a little bit of money at their safe bets, the older crown have snorted all their hard earned cash up their noses so therefore are having to reunite and tour again and this is what influences the Festivals.

If you want new and exciting new bands, people no one else has heard of then you go to other Festivals, if you want Relevant music you attend V and unfortuantely the relevant bands have now been around for quite a while.

As a regular at many festivals since the 70's ( all be it I don't remember the early ones), you always get a mix of new and old and reunited and people on the year before, each and every fesitval.

As for Biffy I am not sure how the V Crowd will take them, I love them but if they do the Marma Duek Duke stuff (not sure if they can) I think V will appreciate them , if they do their earlier heavier stuff then maybe not, either way they are amazing.

Now here i do agree with you! Whilst i dont think the lineup is any worse than years gone by, i think the type of pple that go to a festival has changed for the worse.

You could see this last year, the townie`s have started to take over. And while queing at the bar in a dead moment last year i saw the crowd go mental for scouting for boys!

But same crowd were nowere to be seen when the view were on.
