What do you reckon the best line-up is V's ever had?? I'd suggest-.

V97 - Blur, Prodigy, Beck, Dodgy, Foo's, Reef, Placebo, Pavement, Teenage Fanclub, Echobelly, Ash, Bluetones, Mansun, Gene, Divine Comedy, Longpigs, Monaco, Echo and The Bunnymen, Symposium, Silver Sun, Embrace, Hurricane #1, AC Acoustics, Stereophonics, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Dreadzone, Death In Vegas, Sneaker Pimps, Finley Quaye, Bentley Rhythm Ace and Carl Cox...

...now thats a line-up

Its a great line up that year

my first V was 2001

it was fantastic, Imagine those earlier years with the Union and Session stages added on, and you would have a really fantastic festival

2001 had Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Muse, Coldplay, Faithles, Placebo, Idlewild, JJ72, Shed Seven, Doves, Grandaddy, Turin Brakes, Ian Brown, Tricky, Ben Folds, Divine Comedy, Neil Finn, Powderfinger, David Grey, Texas, Starsailor, The Cahrlatans, Embrace, Snow Patrol, Phoenix, Zero 7, Alabama 3, The Avalaches, Mos Def and even Kylie!

2003 was pretty good - Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Ash, The Hives, Turin Brakes, Futureheads, Moloko, Goldfrapp, David Holmes, I Am Kloot, RHCP, QOTSA, PJ Harvey, Underworld, The Coral.

But I had a major soft spot for 2004 - Muse, The Charlatans, Faithless, The Divine Comedy, Embrace, Elbow, The Killers, The Strokes, Pixies, BRMC, Scissor Sisters, The Zutons, Mull Historical Society, Groove Armada, South.

That was all without me seeing Kings of Leon, The Concretes, Delays, Kasabian, Massive Attack, Hope Of The States, Human League and Rod Y Gab. But I did see Jamie Cullum - not sure why
