I only have a Sunday ticket for Reading and was gutted that the "Lock Up" is on the other days...

HOWEVER.. the NME stage for Sunday has presented us with an almighty sonic sized assault of quality music that i cant wait for.. Dare i say better than what the Lock Up has on offer.

I wasnt a great fan of Gallows but their new CD has blown me away.. play it loud loud loud!!! Best CD i have heard since.. err Gaslights latest!!

for those who dont know much of them.. check out this great recent live performance for the BBC.

Love AFI. one of the bands im most looking forward to. cant wait to see Gaslight and Lostprophets too.

Gallows though, cant say im a fan of the new album compared to the last. However, they are a very good live band so should still enjoy them.

4 bands like that in a row though, cant wait! never expected it.

These 3 bands together are the highlight of the festival so far for me.

I've been following Gallows for the past 3 years and I saw them again last week in Manchester and they are getting better live as they go along, Frank's voice is getting better with age, they will tear down the NME stage as they really hate everything about the NME and the stereo type music that its attracting at the moment.

Anyone who thinks Frank and the band are cocky couldn't be further from the truth, he is a lovely modest man who does not think they deserve to be getting the praise and the following they are getting and know there are hundreds of bands out there that are better than them and say so every time they play although they also know there are lots of bands worse than them too.

Every time I have seen them he has been out and about chatting and signing things for his fans before and after the gig and he treats the fans as equals. Yes Gallows have been marketed really well (what band isn't these days?) however it was only 18 months ago when they used to take it in turns working on the merchandise stall and they have still worked there back sides off touring both the UK and US constantly to get where they are today.

I do hate rebuen. But except for them id say i agree with most of that. (+ Hatebreed rather than Underoath)

But back in 2003 when they headlined, it was more of a rock festival, and the whole NME/topman revolution was just starting out.

Im just saying to the sortof crowd reading attracts now adays, they seem a little irrelevant.

I mean dont get me wrong, they are one of my favourite bands, but just saying.. <_<

^ they've had shit loads of press over the years, it just died down pretty fast (in the case of hundred reasons and hi4h), hundred reasons were all over nme / kerrang etc for a good year at least.

What? I know former teachers who love Rueben, so they can't be swept under that far. Inme are still getting a bit of attention aswell. All of those bands have had their limelight, it just so happens that Gallows are having theirs now. Besides, I love Gallows. Listening to 'The Riverbed' now <_<.
