Hi all!

Every year in the build up to Glasto I visit this forum daily to slightly appease my Glastonbury excitement. However I have never posted, not even once...until today!

So I challenge anyone else who has never posted before to post you first comment here!!

I know exactly what you mean. I went to V festival last year a couple of months after glasto and it was a major dissapointment. Don't get me wrong I had a good time with my mates and there were quite a few bands/artists that I liked but as a festival it was dreadfull and I really mean dreadfull!!

This year I'm sticking to Glasto and just Glasto.

V is an horrific festival. There are so many po-lice walking around, and not good police like Walter or Bunk. Police dogs searching people's tents at night too. The fact that you need to buy tokens before getting beers, having to queue up to get into the arena, eveything just looks 'shit' aswell. I can't really describe what i mean there, but you look around and everything just looks crap. Horrible place.

Hi all - long time lurker but first post - thanks for bringing me out of the closet! Tend to have a little lurk most days to get my Glasto fix - my work colleagues don't really grasp the attraction of spending your summer in a field

Am I gonna be hated for the rest of my time here if I say that I don't think V is that bad?!? It is what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything else... I've had a laugh there and seen some good bands but IMO you can't compare it to Glasto - Glasto is in a completly different league and nothing else comes close!
