Wooderson
I dont think I could honestly pay up money for a festival with Roxy Music as the main act.

Wooderson
not much info on 'viachicago' about the Belfast show (started with Ashes, then played some songs...? ) Ashes is a great opener. How was it Nal? (or should I call you 'The'?)

The Nal
Clearly they don't. My original comment wasn't a slur, btw. Based on listening to two albums by Wilco that's what they sound like.
sifi
Was joking. Listen to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Very un-Matchbox 20!

sifi
Knowing nothing about either band above would you care to post a comparative example?
The Nal
Sure. I'm not hearing any Grateful Dead in the one album I've listened to at any length. That's not to say I don't like it, it's very good and it's one of the few albums that I've heard in a long time that actually resulted in me smiling when I listened to it. A joyous smile, not a that's funny smile. On Jesus etc, if you interested.

Wooderson
Have to say I've been left speechless listening to the new album opener "Art of Almost". Tone if they start the Friday (but not the Saturday) with this one at the Roundhouse... don't even come near me. I'll be f8cking RAGING. Whisper it... I think it might be the coolest thing theyve ever done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tov0YAsUS10
Wooderson
that's amazing.... anything they record is ten times better live. A bit 'scary' imagining how good that could be..... not sure if I've ever heard anything like that before I missed the stream they did of the new album, so this is only the second track I've heard so far. Can't wait for the rest (and to see them) this world needs Wilco

Wooderson
Any sign of your tickets for the Roundhouse yet Tony? Do they usually leave it to within 6 weeks to send out? Im still trying convince myself NOT to go to the Friday show aswell.
sifi
I was seconds away from getting my tickets for the Thursday night. And I mean seconds. When my wife called me to tell me she'd booked the flights to Tel Aviv for the wedding. Boo. On the plus side, I'm enjoying the first four tracks of the album.
