mike46
After last nights Libertines reunion... http://www.nme.com/news/the-libertines/44707 what are the chances of them joining Peter at Glastonbury? I think i would actually die if it happens, probably the libertines biggest fan!
scaryclaireyfairy
it'd be nice, but i feel if it happens it'll be a secret set somewhere.

glasto_freak
I think they are a little over-rated, as they are always harked as the gods of indie. Saying that though, i will join rainy day woman in wenting (sic) my pants if they play
Bradders
Over-rated is a useless phrase. It means "other people like them more than I do". I'd love them to play, but if they do, what are the chances of me actually being in the right place at the right time? I'd hate to miss it. jamseyboy
Dont quite get them myself.......I dont dislike them but I dont think they are at the top of the tree. I can understand if people say they influenced the indie guitar movement at the right time and place but to say they are so good that they would encourage a tinkling in the pant area is beyond me. That being said every body to their own....if they were to play I would probably go and see them to make sure i wasnt missing anything......wearing wellies and carrying a large supply of tena ladies pads ( never one to miss a sales opportunity)
Red_Eye_Jedi
See, this is a problem.. I have to see pete doherty now.. just incase carlos comes on stage.. Don't get me wrong, i do like petes solo stuff.. its just.. i wanted to see kasabian.. but hey ho.. it'd be amazing if it did happen tho. Sweep
I don't think that the Libertines were an exceptional band, but they were part of an exceptional buzz and kicked off an entire movement. A case of right place, right time. Wouldn't turn my nose up to seeing them play, certainly!
glasto_freak
jameseyboy, i think you're onto something there, like a budding Richard Branson. But selling tena pads isn't really as cool as running a record label Hey Ho, good luck with that

joew89
rumour has it they were offered £2million to re-unite at a festival this summer and the rejected it. so i doubt they re-unite at glasto for very little money. if they did they would surely want to headline the pyramid stage. i cant see it happening, but it would be the best thing ever if it did. newagehippie
£2 million? I'm sure that can't be true, I'm sure that i saw somewhere that the overall turnover for the whole festival is £40 million. And i'm sure that they wouldn't blow 5% of all their money on a single act, however good
