dwukky
the short answer is yes. try not to think of Glasto as an "Event" more as a temporary town - On the Wednesday and Thursday there is lots to see and do, but expect some areas to be "closed till the weekend" - just like some clubs and pubs in towns only open at the weekend. Also on that point - whilst very few places are open 24 hours (there are about 20 food outlets that are open 24 hours) something will be open, so rather than staying in your tent "trying" to get to sleep - get out there and explore.. my Wednesdays and Thursdays and Friday day's are taken up mostly by wandering the markets, the tranquil parts (healing fields, saunas etc etc -) they tend to be over the disused railway embankment on the same side as the sacred circle and the park 5 days is nowhere near enough time, so make the most of the fact you've been able to arrive early. dwukky
For some reason your post has made me really, really excited again! And I get to go Glastonbury market shopping this year, which I have always wanted to do but never have the cash at this time of year. My birthday is the week before and he says he is going to take me market shopping at Glastonbury for my present. Can't wait!!!
kaisherz
haha! It was my first last year and I got there on the Wednesday. Totally advise setting your tent up, having a beer, having a wander, then a pear cider, then stone cirlce for the night!
Laura_Babs
Your birthday talks t you......? I can give you a number that can help.....
dwukky
He does. He is male too! Bit strange as I always imagined my birthday to be female as I am female. Ok, well I actually left out a sentence. I'm afraid I just have an average non-talking birthday like everyone else. My boyfriend however is going to be taking me market shopping at Glastonbury for my birthday.
