Its very good for the future of Download. A sold out festival has brought it back up and will hopefully play part in managing to book bigger bands for the future. The bosses will be wanting a repeat sell otu next year though I'd imagine.

blink 182 and a couple kerrang bands ala 2001, and ill be there next year!

I realy think they should aim for Blink 182 Friday headliner. Also I think they should make the days like this, keeping some in line with this years...

Friday - Kerrang 2001 fitting in some punky stuff too

Saturday - Metaly and kind of popular bands of the time

Sunday - Classic Rock day

That way you appeal to a mixed audience.

They've gone for the classic "Cartmanland"* marketing scheme of "You can't come to our festival because the tickets have sold out" then people see those tickets on ticketmaster and think "quick buy the tickets while they're available... QUICKLY!!!) and the festival sells more tickets.

I tried to sell a ticket (weekend with camping) on here 2 months ago & the amount of twats who contacted me to say they'd DEF buy it & then let me down are countless. Now if someone needs to buy 1 from ebay, then its just one of these thingscause the festivals is very close & they left it very late to buy 1 from an official source.
