Asda have boxes of Spanish Red and Spanish White wine for around the £10 mark at the moment. Can't vouch for the white but the red, whilst not being a Mouton Cadet '69 (and '68 wasn't a better year before anyone is so gauche as to suggest it), is comfortably festival quality drinkable.

quick one for cheap cider,( don't shoot me down for it not being Brothers ,it's cheap ..) 12 cans of Gaymers original for a fiver at asda .

not on offer as such but tesco have 4 cans of scrumpy jack going for 2.97 each, most other supermarkets are closer to the 3.99 mark

got 5 of them so 20 (500 ml) cans for less than 15 quid.

its actually better value than some other canned ciders on offer cos these are often 440ml and those 60 ml differences over a good number of cans can really stack up!

stick them in a cool bag straight from fridge/freezer on morning you go with plenty of ice packs and you're on for better than lukewarm for at least 2-3 days.

Netto are doing 12 cans of Carlsberg Export for £7.99.

As a person that prefers the stella/export type lagers, i found that this is a good deal considering it is normally £7.50 for 8 cans elsewhere.

and for anybody that is on a seriously limited budget and can tolerate the taste, Netto are also gonna be doing 4 cans of diamond white for £1.99. So you could get like 20 cans for a tenner!! Though i would imagine you would only need 3 or 4 before you was on your back

That deal comes into play on thursday.

Just a heads up, the Tesco "2 for £16" deal on big packs of lager/cider ends today. It included Stella, Fosters, Carlsberg Export, Becks, Strongbow, Boddingtons, Guinness, Gaymers etc.

No but no doubt they would be expensive! I thought the 2 for £16 at Tesco had finished, Im looking for a crate of Stella and maybe fosters...

Stella is bottle i believe. Strongbow is for the 15x440ml Cans, and Export is the 15 or 10 x 440ml Can pack. Not sure on that one as my store doesn't stock the Export cans as it's quite small, but larger stores and Extra's will have it.

Can you tell i'm an employee?

are you sure that its not bottles that they sell in export??

Iv jus had a look on that www.mysupermarket.co.uk website and it said that Tesco did 18x275ml Export bottles in the 2 for £16 deal. Obviously this is no good though for Glastonbury.

Maybe they dont advertise the cans online??

Unfortunately my nearest big tesco is a 20 minute drive so jus pondering on whether its worth a drive over later??

I however shal be taking lots of spirits and various sweet flavoured vodka - cheap tesco vodka + skittles = win!

Anybody know where the best place to buy some plastic bottles?

Just use old ones from home, or buy cheap own brand water & empty them, it's only about 17p for a 2 litre bottle.
