Whats the situation with people who pillage?

There should be a system, whereby when your tent is abandoned, you stick a sticker on it or run up a flag or something - a signal that it's ok to scavenge it!

I wouldn't dream of leaving anything - leave no trace etc. But the problem is if it takes two trips to the car. Between trip one and getting back the rest of your gear may have gone.

I like the idea of a sign saying 'Not gone yet, coming back for the rest' or if you do leave stuff behind 'I've left help yourself.'

I'm too stingy to leave anything at Glastonbury and am quite proud of the relationship we have built with our tent since 2005, even if she is a bit too small for us now. If I do leave anything I think I will leave a sign telling people they can take it, just so they know, however I can't see that I will start losing things now. Such a waste!
