First of all Hiya!.....sorry to ask a question as soon as i've joined the forum but....

..I've just found out that I get the mark for my degree on the Friday of Glastonbury (I'm going down on the Wednesday). They won't give the marks over the phone for one reason or another, instead they only do it over the internet and I was wondering, is there any where on site that gives internet access? I know going on the internet is not something that you want to be doing at Glastonbury but...

Thanks

Steven

Thanks for your help...mobile phone is a good idea, the only thing is that mine resembles a 1980s relic and can't access the internet...i'll have to hope that my friends phone can access it!

and yeah, its definitely going to make or break my weekend, just as bad is that is my 21st is the week after so it could ruin that as well!

Had the same situation one year - me and 2 mates heard whilst down there - think it was a thursday or friday. I say find out if you get the chance, cos it may be good news. If it's not you're in the best place in the world to deal with it, but if you don't hear you'll just worry anyway and won't enjoy your weekend. Good luck!

Look at it this way, get the right result, use the festival to celebrate, if you don't get what you want, well where else is better to cheer yourself up?

I know the chill and charge tent had laptops and PCs in because I saw some complete helmet sat on facebook in there last year. I'm sure if you went in and explained to someone they'd let you have a quick look online for your results.

Good luck mate!

I'm one of those people that needs to find out as soon as they're available though! I wont be able to relax knowing my results are 'out there'.. and it'd be a long 7hr coach back to Manchester thinking about my result!

I'd put money on a friendly fellow Glasto goer lending you their phone to do this, just explain your situation and offer to buy them a pint of cider!

Plenty of internet access in the Orange tent. It might require a bit of a wait, say 20 mins, to get on a computer but in your case it would be worth it.

The Orange tent gets busier as the week goes on, due to peoples phones going flat, so bare that in mind.

I had uni results at Glasto in 2007. There is internet access in the chill and charge. I had to wait 30 mins for some kid to finish using bebo (who even uses bebo!?), it was rather frustrating. Thankfully I passed and embarked on an epic bender.
