shazbam
right - im not going to post any more - this is really becoming an anti liverpool thread and im not intrested in people who are that narrow minded
scouseLee
But they aren't the relatives of the majority of this country, Grief and injustice should be a personal thing and a personal battle. If I boycotted every newspaper that had printed mistruths about deaths, murders etc I would have few if any to chose from. Why should this case, sad and shameful as it was, be a reason not to buy a paper thats saving a few quid on some cider??
Mr Ploppy
Is this this the same model city of solidarity where Rhys Evans was killed in a gang war and none of the community would speak out?> Thought so.
Mardy
What a sucker, The people affected by the lies were not just from Liverpool they were from all over but forget football and the Hillsborough disaster for one minute lets look at it another way....... Imagine such a disaster happened at a music festival such as the one we are attending next month with your closed mind you probably dont remember but god forbid that happened at Roskilde where 8 people(RIP) were crushed to death. Now imagine if you knew one of those people in any way shape or form or imagine you didnt but had been stood next to them for the last 2-3 hours and the next thing your trying to put life back into them and then imagine reading those headlines, imagine the same disgusting lies were printed about me and you "festival goers" pissing on and robbing from those lying dead on the ground and the 100,000 people around you knew that those headlines were not true how would you expect "us" to react? Your attitude towards this subject alone means you really probably arent open minded enough to "fit in" at Glastonbury but if you want to prove me wrong bring a smile to the cider bus on Wednesday at
mouth
its nice to see people are still so aware of hillsborough. i was only 10 and seeing the gills at priestfield but it stopped my dad taking me to football for a long time
scouseLee
Do the people who boycott The Sun also boycott Sky? Owned by the same bloke. Although I imagine a lot of scousers enjoyed paying their subscriptions and watching their team this season. note: I boycott The Sun on the grounds that it is a shite paper! scouseLee
Where else can you watch the 12 minutes silence a season? I'm entitled to my opinion, thats why this is called a forum. I shall retire now though in fear of retubution at the cider bus, thanks for the threats though.... Edited May 20, 2009 by scouseLee
LetsGoToMars
The thing that irates me...fans of Liverpool FC will flat out refuse to accept any apology from the Sun (the medium through which scandalous lies were told, not the source of them), but themselves wait 20 years to dangle out a pathetic half-arsed "apology" to Juventus fans for the Heysel disaster, wanting to be pally with them. Their response doesnt surprise me...
Man drew
In my eyes i dont really think it matters what club it happens to, a thing like this should never be forgotten and im up for anyone to stick by what they beleive it. I dont think it is a topic that should be used to try and score cheap points over a city.

LetsGoToMars
Well, I dont class it as a muppet trying to provoke even though I know what you mean. I take this in a much more serious way. Yeah, we all know what bumbling Boris said about Liverpool Dom, but Boris said it as a sweeping comment, he DID NOT say it when a load of people were getting upset about Hillsborough which is what bubbsio did. Boris is entitled to his opinion, but would he walk into a room were alot of people are talking about Hillsborough and acuse them of being "hooked on grief"? No, even the foolish Boris would not do that. And lets not forget, it was NOT just a comment or opinion - bubbsio made a JOKE about it. Not good at all! Thats all from me on this subject as my opinion of humanity just took a nosedive! MrPloppy
Homer
Pardon my ignorance and correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Hillsbrough caused by Liverpool supporters running though a door into the stadium in order to get in without paying? And wasn''t Heysel a least partly caused by the Liverpool fans who went on a rampage? If I'm wrong then I apologise but if that is the case, there might just be some people much closer to home more deserving of Scousers' vitriol than people who have voiced opinions on a website set up to discuss music festivals or chosed to but a certain paper in order to get some cheap booze.
