Is it too early to be overly excited?

hi all, first post, first glasto. :)

up until about 1 week ago glastonbury was hardly on my mind, i had other things to worry about and, although i was looking forward to it, i could handle my excitement. not now though. almost every minute of spare time i get i'm thinking about what i'll need, reading the fine guide, looking at the 2009 map, checking the forums for latest news... i've well and truely got glasto bug!!!

is it too soon to be like a child at christmas again, or is this over enthusiasm going to lead me to be disappointed when i arrive?

5 weeks today

Welcome and no it is not too early, infact it is quite normal to be excited. Just that from now till the Monday (what the Boomtown rats song was really about) you pack up and leave you will get more and more excited :) wait till the webcam comes on line and you get madly excited about seeing a digger move across the site :)

i'm glad i'm not alone.. knew i wouldn't be. i can't begin to imagine the excitement people are feeling who have actually been before. you lot know exactly what to expect, a lot of it for me is still imagination and relying on photos and word of mouth.

for some reason i'm really looking forward to the choice of food on offer... hmmm

I'm exactly the same! Everyday all I think about is Glastonbury, I think its actually affecting my uni work! It's my first one as well but my only worry is that i've got too excited and looked at every photo and video clip there is and now there won't be any surprises left for when I get there! I feel like I know the place really well now! haha

Just wait til you have actually been. It gets harder each year.... Because then you know what you're waiting for. I am way too excited, way too early, every year. I am now at the point, with 5 weeks to go, of where i can't actually wait any longer! I simply can't wait!!!
