Rufus Gwertigan
Can I just say one thing. A worker for the Information Services, and a former mod of TOS/VF has passed away. This man was my friend, and I am deeply saddend by this. Can any petty differences please be set aside for a man that loved the festival, and worked f**king hard for it. HGM (Ian) I hope you are on a cloud, with a pear cider in your hand. I miss you already, and the festival has lost a little of it's soul my friend. I will be forever your friend and thank you for the pleasure of knowing you all my love Biggerdave xx
cossie65
Sorry to hear that about your friend mate, hope you and his family / friends make this year a good one for him. On a slightly lighter note.... Why is the website still not working? Does the line up take that long to type in? (runs for cover)
scudetto_boy
Hopefully it'll give us the line-up.

mudmonkey
What's the obsession with how long TOS is down for anyway? All the interesting news is always on efests way before its on there. It has the occasional interesting Eavis interview every few months, and has the fine guide, but tbh that rarely changes each year and everyone has/is getting a paper copy anyway! I don't think it will have the lineup yet, as presumably Q & Guardian have paid to "exclusively" reveal it. It could be though that TOS doesn't come back online until the lineup is out. eFestivals
So the F@cked up and now gone to plan B ...were as line up /webcam/ new site all in 1 shabang that would be a similar f**k up tho (which is why the new site was planned to launch before the line-up announcement) - the server is likely to get overloaded with the launch of a new site on an extremely busy day (which is what Glasto has discovered in the past). cossie65
Surely it cant be a problem with the server anymore though? I would have thought they would have rectified that in minutes rather than a day? I'm no techy but Im now starting to think that they're either deciding on when to announce, or deliberately holding until release time. theres going to be no decrease of sales for Q or the guardian when the lineup is released because its going to be online first anyway so I'm quite perplexed (love that word). got any insider info Neil? I'm pretty sure it's a feck-up of some kind, tho I have no info on that. Yesterday the holding page said the new site would be online that afternoon (tho it's changed now), so they were obviously planning for it to go live then. It has occured to me that perhaps I put the cat amongst the pigeons with the mail I sent about the inclusion of google analytics, but have no idea if that's the case or not. denwyn
Can't understand all the fuss on here about a new official web site, if its anything like the old one it will be pretty crap....never look any other place but here for Glasto news myself. eFestivals
Neil in unnecessary-trouble-causing shocker - surely not?! My belief from my many years of contact (including casual employment by) with Glasto is that Glastonbury would not want their website users browsing data to be given to google, and all I've done is pointed out to Glasto that that is what they're doing in case they're unaware of that fact, becauser the website has been done for them by outside people. I might be wrong and they're happy for google to have website users browsing data. Having brought their attention to it, what they choose to do is their choice. eFestivals
I saw the page yesterday and noticed it had changed, hence me thinking if their webteam are in some sort of discussions about saving the unveiling until monday or suprising the punters with an early release. as previously mentioned, i know little about these things, but would a feck up take this long to resolve, i mean if they were planning to sort it all out for yesterday afternoon, could the problem be that serious that its taken 12 more hours ( i know they havent been working through the night.. but..) to sort out? in your experience? erm .... without going into any details, I have more than an inkling why a feck up might take this long to resolve. It comes down to the skills of those involved.
