Scotland's Rock Nessfestival has today confirmed a new on air and online broadcast partnership with BBC Radio Scotland for this summer's three-day Highland bash.

Broadcasting on a number of platforms, the package will include coverage across the BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 1 in Scotland and the BBC Radio Nan Gaidheal network. In addition there will be a live broadcast from site on the Friday night and a host of live recordings across the weekend as part of various Rock Ness special post event broadcasts including Vic Galloway's BBC Introducing show, Camper Van Sessions and an exclusively recorded live track broadcast on Huw Steven's national show. The BBC's web coverage will also include extensive festival coverage.

This latest announcement follows the news that BBC DJs Zane Lowe, and Kissy Sell Out are Loch Ness bound joining their DJ pals Annie Mac, and Pete Tong who play the Clash Arena on Saturday night.

Acts previously confirmed for the banks of Loch Ness include The Flaming Lips, and Placebo headlining on Friday, Basement Jaxx, Orbital, and Dizzee Rascal who will play on the Saturday, with Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy playing on the Sunday. Rock Ness has also announced Super Furry Animals, David Guetta, The Wombats, Erol Alkan, Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank, and more. There will be many more than 100 acts performing. I didnt say it should be in the forums, i said it was barely worth a thread all to itself. It was the fact it was a straight rip from the main page I originally commented on, Iain didn't spark any discussion or offer any opinion on the matter. Just posted the press release into the forum. Fairly pointless in my eyes as the news in on the front page.

Part of the news item had already been mentioned in another thread, where it was actually relevant.
