1mills
Sorry if this topic has been up before, (the search doesn't seem keen on checking). Basically the Iphone's battery isn't going to be up to Glastonbury, so I'm thinking of buying a cheapo bog standard phone for it, so thinking there must be some old school phones about that have really good battery life. Any recommendations on where's best to look for cheapo phones? It literally would only need to make calls and receive messages.

lianne and craig
or you could claim to be on the outside trying to get in and send them running around out side. Which ever phone you buy its worth getting an extra battery. There is always the Orange charge tent, not use it so don't if its good. Anyone who has? Jutt69
A few tips for preserving the battery life on your phone: 1. Change the wallpaper to a black. (I use a completely black theme) 2. Turn off any screensavers. (unless it just turns the screen off, which is good!) 3. Turn off sound/vibrate (best to pick one it's quite tricky without both! Vibrate uses most battery) 4. Turn the brightness of the screen down (if you can) 5. Only use it when you really need to and try and switch it off when sleeping (if you sleep at Glasto) I have also built a battery powered USB charger, it was very easy to make and provides a clean 5 volts that will charge most phones, mp3 players etc. It is better than the cheap ones you buy on site which don't give you the 5 volts that a lot of products need. Oh and I have to point out just how shit it is that you can't change the battery in an ipod/iphone without breaking the case open. When will people realise that there are better mp3 players and phones out there? Don't be a sheep with white headphones!

irons
I realy need my mobile for the Glasto weekend. It has my bus ticket on it (sms massage thingy), and I'll need it on Monday morning for an alarm, bus leaves early. I got a battery charger thing for my phone for my birthday last year. It charges it quick, but it drains like a bugger afterwards. I've backed it up with buying a spare battery from EBay, cost me £4.99 inc P&P. That should be me covered. srvman
It wont be there when you go back.... You are supposed to stay there with them, also by leaving it you'll end up having to queue twice to get in and sometimes the queue is mahoosive!
