mynameisearl
Yeah the Iphone doesn't have a removable battery so not an option. I had a battery powered charger for my K800i last year and in fairness, it was sh*t.
Ladybug-nina
Thanks for the tips I have been due an upgrade on my handset but have been waiting for as long as I can til near the festival so I will have a brand new battery in my phone. I will buy a spare one though. I hate the Orange tent too. People always seem to be moody in there. I think its because its so dark . There is another one near The Pennards where you leave your phone in a locker to charge but the ques are HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!
kohoutec
I have an iPhone as well and won't be taking it to any festivals. I recently bought a cheap nokia from carphone warehouse, not sure on the model without checking but it was free with a 30 quid orange airtime voucher, and has a stupidly long battery life. It was also unlocked out of the box. Should be ideal.
lianne and craig
dont want to start something... but you are completley wrong.... you are given a locker key..... you leave for an hour or 2 come back open your locker...if your phone is fully charged they put it to the side for you... i know this as fact ....i have used the service... and was talking to the dude who owns the whole operation and fully explained it...you dont have to que to get it....you simply just go and get it.... ill be bringing like 4 batteries this time...alot more convienient and much less hassle for only 20 quid
lsdmoto
Get yourself a cheap nokia, mine last year was a tenner if i remember rightly, the battery lasted the whole time and over a week after!! none of that fooking around wasting your time and life charging in the charge tent! while i'm on it the disposable cameras last year were brilliant, some of the pics we took were so good you wouldn't have known. r0cky
Thats not the way it worked in the chilld n charge place when i was there last year....unless thats what was happening upstairs......you had to find a wire which fitted your phone, sit there like a plonker whilst your phone charged, but if you were lucky you could go on the tinternet. Breeze
I'm going for the £30 for mins airtime pay as you go Orange offer on this page You get a free Nokia 1650 - fairly basic but it has FM (can listen to Radio Avalon) and it has huge battery life (6 hours talktime or 13 days standby!) you can also select what type of user you are and if you select 'dolphin' your texts are free - which I use a lot at Glasto to save battery life.
